Mr. Gregg Kyle
As a Principal with Burgess Vector, Mr. Kyle brings nearly twenty
five years experience in biomedical sciences to client engagements.
Seventeen years of this experience has involved transactions ranging
from clinical trials agreements, materials transfer, government
research contracts, CRADAs, licensing, M&A, and industry research
collaborations.
Mr. Kyle's extensive knowledge of the issues surrounding intellectual
property is a direct result of the multitude of licensing deals
he has successfully negotiated. One of these deals involving the
drug Allegra has produced $30 million in fees and royalties for
Georgetown University. Mr. Kyle directs business development activity
at QB3, a multi-campus University of California institute for
technology excellence in systems biology and computational biology.
Prior to joining Burgess Vector, he held the positions of Senior
Director, Business Development at Rigel Pharmaceuticals and Director
of Business Development at Corixa Pharmaceuticals. At both companies,
his primary duty was technology scouting and in-licensing. His
previous transactional work was in university technology transfer
and contracting.
Mr. Kyle has been awarded a Masters Degree in Biology from Wayne
State and a Bachelors degree from Hiram College. In addition,
his research experience at the Michigan Cancer Foundation and
Lombardi Cancer Center resulted in eight publications and two
AACR presentations. Mr. Kyle is active in the Association of University
Technology Managers and the Licensing Executives Society.
